pro-patria-mori:

A painting of  Jan Žižka. Jan Žižka was a 15Th Century Czechoslovakian knight who led the first major protestant uprising in Europe.
Žižka was a truly fearsome warrior. He was blinded in one eye after an accident as a child, but after 15 years of fighting, he was undefeated and had lost his remaining eye to wound received during the siege of Raby after being hit by a crossbow bolt. Despite this he continued leading men into battle.
